MANTRA’s tokenized real world asset (RWA) ecosystem comprises both a dApp ecosystem and a modular execution layer.
MANTRA Chain is a Layer 1 blockchain created for the tokenization of RWAs. It is a permissionless blockchain for permissioned applications, and is capable of adherence to and enforcement of real world regulatory requirements. Because the chain was built with the specific application of RWAs in mind, MANTRA Chain offers a regulatorily compliant environment for users, developers and regulators to operate within where global RWA liquidity now has strong foundations to establish new network effects.
AUMEGA will be the flagship RWA portal on MANTRA Chain. Powered by DeFi ’s favored automated market maker (AMM) mechanism and CeFi’s preferred trading environment, a central limit order book (CLOB), AUMEGA will facilitate the trading and investing in both crypto assets and tokenized RWAs for retail and institutional investors.
The Vision Behind Mantra
MANTRA aims to create a highly liquid RWA ecosystem of permissioned dApps (where users pass KYC to trade regulated products) on a permissionless chain (where anyone can use and build on MANTRA Chain). In doing so, MANTRA will provide advanced functionalities that are unavailable in a typical non-custodial decentralised exchange (DEX) environment. These include:
- Trading any asset in the world - crypto-assets, real estate, equities, etc.
- Direct integration with traditional banking systems, enabling seamless interaction between crypto and fiat, or on and off chain.
MANTRA’s ecosystem, comprising the blockchain protocol and this exchange platform, will allow for single click transfers from bank account to brokerage to wallet. Any frictions and nuances between the on and off chain worlds are abstracted away, becoming invisible.
Tokenomics of $OM
The Hongbai testnet is currently live, with mainnet expected to go live later in 2024. Due to constraints with the existing $OM supply, the token supply will be expanded upon genesis and newly minted supply of $OM will be in the form of IBC-compatible mainnet coins.
Total Supply: The genesis $OM token supply will be uncapped with variable inflation upon mainnet launch. This is to ensure a robust proof of stake network where validators can continually be incentivised to secure MANTRA Chain.
Distribution: Existing supply of ERC20 $OM tokens are distributed among the MANTRA community, developers, and the MANTRA Foundation. The genesis supply of IBC-compatible cosmos mainnet $OM coins will be distributed to the Swiss MANTRA Association not-for-profit entity, $OM stakers, investors, MANTRA team and core contributors as well as a genesis airdrop for incentivised testnet users and other stakeholders in the wider Cosmos community.
Utility: $OM is designed to be a Proof of Stake mainnet coin that allows users to secure an RWA L1 blockchain as well as influence future $OM liquidity emissions in exchange for a staking yield.
Rewards and Incentives: Users staking $OM on our platform will be eligible to earn up to a 1.35x multiple on their amount staked when mainnet is live. Hongbai testnet users can also complete activities such as Galxe Quest to become eligible for airdrops.
The Role of $OM in the Mantra Ecosystem
$OM will become the MANTRA Chain mainnet coin, allowing users to own a share in the world’s first regulatory compliant RWA ecosystem and earn rewards by delegating to validators to secure the network.
